Paul O'Grady - Chairman

Paul has over 25 year experience working with Irish and international financial institutions, concluding his banking career as Director of Group Operations for ABN-AMRO Bank NV Ireland, Paul was an Executive Director of Irish Quality Control Association trading as EIQA from 2003 -2005 and in 2006 when the company was privatised he was appointed Managing Director until December 2007. Leaving Ireland in 2008 to become CEO of Fujairah Bulk Shipping LLC in the Middle East. Paul returned to Ireland in 2011 and has been appointed to a number of Executive boards in the private sector including Voicelock Limited and Ozone Limited. During the past two years, Paul has completed a full strategic review of St. Vincent de Paul on a pro-bono basis, which has been endorsed by their Board and is being implemented. Paul has a first class honours business degree and has attended Harvard business school, he also holds a Diploma in Advanced Computer programming from Trinity College Dublin.

Irene Collins joined the EIQA in January 2008. Previous to joining EIQA, Irene worked for global foodservices company Compass group as Operations Director with additional responsibility for corporate social responsibility, compliance & quality standards. Irene has extensive experience of The Q Mark suite of programmes, EFQM Business Excellence model, ISO: 9002 & ISO: 14001 and winning quality awards and recognition at local, national & international level. Irene is a graduate of UCD & also has a Diploma in Corporate Direction from UCC, she has extensive experience on the food services Industry holding a number of relevant qualifications and has served on the national council of the Irish Hospitality Institute & the NCTB (National Curriculum Training Board) Irene has worked with a number of companies including Bank of Ireland, Citigroup, Accenture, ACC Bank, Analog Devices, Reception & Integration Agency, and Hewlett Packard providing a broad range of solutions in the areas of customer service, food services & facilities management.

ourpeople soraidSoraid McEntee - Operations Manager

Soraid joined EIQA in February 2008. Previous to joining EIQA, Soraid worked for a leading soft drinks manufacturing company Coca-Cola for 22 years in a number of different roles; Process Development Technician, Manufacturing Supervisor and Quality Systems Specialist. Soraid has experience of The Q Mark, ISO: 9000, ISO22000, ISO14001, OHSAS18001, ISO17025 & TCCQS - Coca-Colas internal Quality System Standard. Soraid holds a Diploma in Food Science & Technology, and is also a qualified lead auditor for Q Mark Quality Management Systems, ISO9001 and ISO22000. As Quality Systems Specialist, Soraid was responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of an integrated Business Management System at Coca-Cola. She was responsible for managing the Internal Audit Program.

Paula looks after Customer Service, QA report checks and The National Q Mark Awards. Jill keeps busy with Training, Q Mark Diploma in Quality Management, Certification and technical checks. Shauna has just graduated with a degree in business management and will look after new business development, digital marketing and newsletters. Dara is involved in global research, internal audits, QA & technical checks. Pam looks after the numbers. Ruth and Elaine are full-time auditors and Ann Marie our Quality Manager is currently on a career break.

External members The Q Mark Team includes the national panel of qualified auditors, assessors, trainers and our approvals board members all experts in their chosen fields.
